Tsang Kin-Wah: MAM Project 015: Tsang Kinwah Exhibition Dates: Sept 17, 2011 - Jun 15, 2012 Venues: Mori Art Museum, 53F Gallery Hong Kong-resident Tsang Kinwah creates beautiful, wallpaper-like installations featuring patterns in text and letters, and also video works in which letters are projected on walls and the floor so it looks as though they are wiggling up and down and filling the space like living animals. Tang's use of text reveals a side to it that is very different from its conventional role as a tool for conveying meaning. When viewers place themselves within these textual "forests," they will experience a new and attractive aspect of text, and feel the depth and complexity of its meaning. Click to Read |
